In recent years, we have created WellComLand – Comwell's own employee festival, where colleagues from all hotels meet each other in new ways. Food stalls, live concerts, dancing, laughter, hairdressing trailers, high energy and genuine community spirit.
This year, Comwell took another step forward and entered into a partnership with Smukfest, where we host the popular 'Sølund Midt' camp area and offer mini-format hotel experiences – a concept that was very well received by the many festival guests who stayed overnight.
And it is precisely this ability to renew our formats that is now also at the core of our approach to corporate events and conferences throughout the country.
When development is a joint project
In developing new event formats, Comwell has worked closely with the event agency EventC and CEO Ulrich Nicolaisen.
"What makes the collaboration with Comwell unique is our shared ambition. We challenge each other all the time – especially when it comes to making things more meaningful – and we have mutual respect," says Ulrich Nicolaisen.
For both EventC and Comwell, it's about being at the forefront, not just of event trends, but also of the mood of the times.
"We work with what people need right now. When we see a movement towards, for example, alcohol-free drinking experiences or new social formats, we take it on board – and develop it! Comwell never says “we don't usually do that”. They ask: “How can we do it our way?" says Ulrich.
A good example of how concepts are constantly being developed is WellComLand. The festival has been held three times – but it is never just a repeat. Ulrich elaborates: "Every time, we go for what the participants didn't know they were missing: the surprising, the meaningful, the things that create pride and community. It takes courage, and Comwell has that courage."
Joint development was also a key value in the collaboration with Smukfest. “Here, we created a universe that felt right in the spirit of the festival. Not something that takes up space, but something that resonates. It’s rare for a large chain to hit the cultural code so precisely,” says Ulrich.
And that is precisely the core of the collaboration between Comwell and EventC:
"We don't just deliver a concept and move on. We create it together. When we spar, we lift each other and the experience itself. Trust allows us to venture beyond our comfort zone, and that is where new things happen," concludes Ulrich.
From frameworks to experiences – how we create value together
When a company chooses Comwell as a partner for a kick-off, staff day, conference or company party, they get more than just premises and event management. They get a partner who helps them develop.
An event can be a festival. It can be a conversation salon. It can be a brand universe. It can be something that doesn't have a name yet.
