Historic Reception Rooms for Small and Large Weddings

Whether you are planning an intimate wedding or a large celebration, we have venues that can be tailored to your wishes and number of guests. The historic manor house creates an atmospheric setting for the day, while Bygholm Park lies just outside the door with old trees, green surroundings, and small lakes.

Our reception rooms vary in size and can accommodate everything from smaller parties to weddings with up to 400 guests. Bygholm Hall has space for up to 80 guests, Kongres 2 for 150 guests, and Kongressen 1+2 for up to 400 guests at round tables.

The venues can be arranged according to the size of your party and the programme for the day, so there is room for dinner, speeches, music, and dancing. Whichever venue you choose, we help create a strong sense of cohesion between the table setting, the atmosphere, and the flow of the celebration.

We Plan Your Wedding Together in 3 Steps

A wedding involves many decisions, which is why you will be assigned a dedicated point of contact who will guide you throughout the entire planning process. We take the time to get to know you and your wishes, so that together we can create the setting and the experience that suit you perfectly.

We plan the course of the day together and help with everything from choosing the venue and table layout to the schedule, menu, wines, and practical details.

1. Well in Advance of the Celebration
We invite you for a viewing, where you can see the function rooms and talk about the date, the venue, and your wishes for the day. Once you have chosen the setting, we send you a venue confirmation with a preliminary overview of the event.

2. Closer to the Celebration
Around 6–8 weeks before the wedding, we go through the most important details together. Here, we discuss the menu, wines, timings, table layout, toastmaster, and presentation of the menu.

3. Very Close to the Celebration
Around 14 days before the wedding, we will need the final number of guests, the seating plan, and the place cards. If you have booked rooms, we will also need a name list. After that, you can sit back and look forward to the day.

If you are dreaming of a romantic outdoor ceremony surrounded by old trees and green surroundings, this can certainly be arranged. As the park is protected, it simply requires prior agreement and approval from Horsens Municipality, and we are very happy to help coordinate the logistics and the setting afterwards, so that your guests can move directly on to the reception.

We have historic venues in a range of different sizes, which we tailor precisely to your number of guests so that the atmosphere remains intimate. For smaller celebrations, we offer Bygholm Hall with space for up to 80 guests, while our Kongres 2 accommodates up to 150 people. If you are inviting the whole extended family, we can open Kongressen 1+2, which has high ceilings and room for as many as 400 guests at round tables, with space for dancing and music.

Our skilled chefs and restaurant manager work closely with you to create a menu that reflects the season and your personal taste preferences. We take great inspiration from the freshest seasonal ingredients and work with local suppliers, and because we focus strongly on quality, we serve, among other things, succulent meat from Grambogård to ensure your guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience.

We create a classic and elegant table setting, dressing the tables with fine white tablecloths, white fabric napkins, and cosy LED candles. If you would like to add beautiful floral decorations that match your colour theme, we work closely with the talented local florist Fru Hansen, who knows our reception rooms inside out and can create exactly the right look.

To give you complete peace of mind, you will be assigned a dedicated point of contact who guides you through three reassuring steps. First, we meet well in advance for a viewing and secure your date. Around 6–8 weeks before the wedding, we go through all the important details such as the menu, wines, schedule, and toastmaster. Then, just 14 days before the celebration, you provide the final number of guests, the seating plan, and the name list, so that all you need to do is sit back and look forward to the day.

Terms and General Cancellation Conditions

Holding a wedding is a major decision – financially as well. That is why you can familiarise yourselves with our terms from the outset, so you know the framework for payment, cancellation, and any changes to the number of guests.

  • A deposit of DKK 3,000 is charged upon reservation.

  • The deposit is deducted from the final invoice.

  • Around 4 weeks before the event, 50% of the booked arrangement must be paid as a deposit.

  • The final number of guests must be provided no later than 14 days before the event.

  • The seating plan, place cards, and any name list for accommodation must be submitted no later than 14 days before the event.

  • Cancellation and any changes must be made in writing.

  • Children up to 3 years of age participate free of charge.

  • Children aged 3 to 12 dine at half price.

  • A separate children’s menu can be chosen as an alternative to the celebration menu.
