The Trainee Academy is Comwell's very own development program for trainees – created to give you much more than a standard trainee program. Here, you will find a unique combination of professional training, personal development, and strong communities across hotels and departments.

We have compiled the best learning frameworks into eight building blocks – from onboarding and internal training to inspiration, cross training, and competitions. Each building block helps ensure that you become both professionally skilled and personally equipped for a future in the hospitality industry.

At Comwell's student academy, you will have the opportunity to grow, challenge yourself, and find your own path—while receiving support from dedicated key individuals and a network of other students who are sharing the journey with you.

At Comwell, development doesn't just happen at school or at the hotel. This gives you the chance to meet and exchange ideas with other students across Comwell, while building relationships with our partners and suppliers. Your time as a student at Comwell is also your chance to develop your skills with new learning and knowledge. Through courses and workshops, you will gain tools that will strengthen you both professionally and personally – from sustainability and hospitality to conflict management and upselling. The courses will help give you a strong foundation for your future career.

Personal support

As a trainee at Comwell, you are never alone. You will be closely monitored by our key personnel, who will ensure that you feel welcome, thrive, and receive the support you need – both professionally and personally.

We are part of the national certification scheme "JA TAK" for apprentices, which sets the standard for training, well-being, and quality in apprenticeship programs. This means that you will meet committed and trained apprenticeship supervisors who take your development seriously. Our key personnel undergo special training, where they work with learning objectives and learning styles, communication and conflict management, well-being and support for young people with different needs – as well as feedback and questioning techniques.
