At Comwell Kongebrogaarden, you can celebrate your wedding with views of the Little Belt, woodland all around, and the water close by. Right by our small marina, we have a large wooden terrace where the ceremony and reception can take place in peaceful, maritime surroundings. Here, there is every opportunity to gather your guests outdoors and create an intimate start to the day by the water’s edge.
As the day continues, the wedding celebration can move into your own private venue right by the water. This creates the ideal setting for a day where nature, views, and celebration come together naturally – from the ceremony on the terrace to dinner and dancing in the evening. The area around the hotel also offers excellent opportunities for wedding photos by the marina, along Kærlighedsstien, and with the Little Belt as the backdrop.
For the reception or the wedding celebration, the wedding cake can be prepared by our own pastry chef. You will be involved in choosing the cake’s flavours, so that it matches your wishes and the overall style of the day.
At Comwell Kongebrogaarden, food is an important part of the experience on your wedding day. Our kitchen works with care and professional pride to create delicious food with a focus on great flavour, variety, and the finest seasonal ingredients. At Comwell, we hold the Danish Organic Cuisine Label in bronze, which means that 30–60% of our food and beverage purchases are organic.
The kitchen draws inspiration from the natural surroundings of the Little Belt and is happy to work with local ingredients whenever possible. As a result, you will often find that field, forest, and sea are represented on the plate. Our head chef creates the menu based on seasonal ingredients, so the food reflects the time of year and the experience you want to create for your guests.
When planning your wedding, you will have the opportunity to speak with the hotel’s staff about the menu, wines, and any special wishes. It is an honour for us to be part of life’s great occasions, and we take great care in creating a dining experience that suits your wedding perfectly. This naturally also applies to the cake, which is made by our own pastry chef and can be tailored to your wishes.
Comwell Kongebrogaarden also has a well-stocked wine cellar with more than 600 different wines. Our sommelier will be happy to help you find wines that complement the menu and complete the experience. When you choose to celebrate your wedding at Comwell Kongebrogaarden, you will be assigned a personal wedding planner who helps create a clear overview of the entire day – from the first ideas to the final celebration. We typically begin with a guided tour, where you experience the hotel’s wedding venues, terraces, and views of the Little Belt, while we talk through your wishes for the ceremony, reception, and wedding celebration.
Throughout the planning process, you will have one dedicated point of contact who can help with everything from choosing the venue, table layout, duration, and schedule to the menu, wines, wedding cake, flowers, accommodation, and any special requests. If you have specific wishes for the menu or the wines, our restaurant manager will be happy to help put together the solution that suits you and your guests best.

Comwell Kongebrogaarden has 62 double rooms, allowing you to gather your wedding celebration, accommodation, and breakfast all in one place. This gives you the freedom to enjoy the day and evening to the fullest – and look forward to a relaxed ending to your wedding weekend.
The rooms are designed with comfort in mind and offer views of the scenic surroundings by the Little Belt. The hotel offers Standard, Superior, and Deluxe rooms as well as suites, giving you the opportunity to choose the accommodation that best suits your needs. As part of the wedding package, the bridal couple stays in a luxury suite with a view.
The next day, you can gather again for the hotel’s generous breakfast buffet and round off the weekend together with family and friends. It is a lovely way to conclude an occasion where you have been together from the ceremony to the celebration and overnight stay.

Here, you have easy access to further accommodation options, allowing even larger parties and wedding celebrations to keep guests close together. This provides flexibility if your event requires more rooms than the hotel itself has available.
Comwell Kongebrogaarden enjoys a very central location in the heart of Denmark, making it incredibly easy for guests from Jutland, Zealand, and the rest of Funen to arrive via the motorway. For guests travelling by train, the hotel is just 2.5 kilometres from Middelfart Station, which is only a short and inexpensive taxi ride of around five minutes, making it easy for everyone to get to the celebration.
The hotel is set in beautiful maritime surroundings, with forest on one side and direct views of the Little Belt and the bridges on the other. Right by the charming little marina, we have a large wooden terrace that is perfect for a romantic outdoor ceremony or a reception in the fresh sea air, while the area along Kærlighedsstien provides an ideal setting for your wedding photos.
Our main reception room, Restaurant Kongebro, features large glass panels facing the water, allowing your guests to enjoy the beautiful view throughout the dinner. For smaller and more intimate gatherings, we also offer other cosy venues close to the water’s edge, and we set the tables exactly as you wish, whether you dream of classic round tables for eight to ten guests, long tables, or a traditional horseshoe layout.
Our experience shows that a wedding celebration often begins in a romantic and formal atmosphere, before developing into a lively party that lasts long into the night — and we have the perfect setting for exactly that. Once the dinner and speeches are over, we move the entire party into an adjoining reception room, most often Kongens Have, where there is plenty of space for dancing, celebrating, and turning up the music.
We always set the tables beautifully with fine white tablecloths, matching napkins, and white candles as part of the arrangement, and if you have specific colour wishes, we can easily accommodate them. We work with a skilled local florist who knows each reception room well and understands what looks best in each setting, and we also provide a large screen for any features or presentations, which your toastmaster can coordinate.

The hotel can host celebrations of up to 100 guests and offers 62 comfortable double rooms, so your family and friends can go straight to bed after the celebration and wake up to a shared breakfast and gift-opening the next day. The bridal couple always receive a luxury suite with a view at no extra charge, and if you need even more room capacity, your guests can stay at our other hotel, Comwell Middelfart, which is just a ten-minute drive away.
Hosting a celebration is important in many ways – financially as well. At Comwell, we give you complete peace of mind throughout the entire process, and you can already familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions so that you feel confident from start to finish. And what about payment, cancellation, and children’s discounts?
Up to 3 months before the first day of the event, cancellation can be made free of charge.
Between 1 and 3 months before the first day of the event, 50% of the total booked amount will be charged.
Less than 1 month before the first day of the event, 100% will be charged.
However, cancellation of up to 10% of the confirmed number of participants can be made free of charge up to 48 hours before the event.*
Cancellation, which must always be made in writing, is understood to include annulment, reduction, shortening, rescheduling, and similar significant changes in relation to the confirmation.
The discounts below apply once payment has been made for a minimum of 30 adults.
For children receiving the same celebration menu as the adults, the following menu discounts apply:
Children up to 3 years old are free of charge.
Children aged 3 to 12 receive a 50% discount.
