Comwell Hotels to cease operating Comwell Klarskovgaard at the end of 2026
Comwell Hotels has decided not to renew the current operating agreement for Comwell Klarskovgaard, which expires on 31 December 2026.
The Danish family-owned hotel chain Comwell is making internal management changes, with two experienced profiles taking on new hotel director roles in Odense and Kolding, respectively.
At the same time, the search for a new hotel director for Comwell Bygholm Park in Horsens is underway.
The former hotel director of Comwell H.C. Andersen Odense, Ninna Stæhr-Petersen, has decided to pursue new opportunities, prompting Comwell to find a new hotel director for its Odense property.
Comwell Hotels is therefore making changes to its management team, drawing on two of the hotel group’s most experienced leaders to take the helm at its hotels in Odense and Kolding.
“We found the ideal candidate for Odense internally, which in turn led to another change among our hotel directors. Both Anne-Beth Madsby and Frederik Jelstrup, who are now moving to new hotels, bring extensive experience and strong expertise to their new roles. With their in-depth knowledge of Comwell, I am confident that they will ensure continued development, progress and the high standards of quality we strive for,” says Peter Schelde, CEO of Comwell Hotels.
From Kolding to Odense
Anne-Beth Madsby will take over as the new hotel director of Comwell H.C. Andersen Odense as well as ODEON, the city’s cultural and congress centre. She joins from her position as hotel director of Comwell Kolding and has been an integral part of Comwell for more than 28 years. She therefore brings extensive experience in sales, networking and the cultural sector to her new role in Odense.
“Odense is a city full of culture, energy and compelling stories. I am incredibly excited to work closely with the local business community and to continue developing the many events held at the hotel and at ODEON,” says Anne-Beth Madsby.
From Horsens to Kolding
The role of hotel director at Comwell Kolding will be passed on to Frederik Jelstrup, who most recently headed Comwell Bygholm Park in Horsens. Frederik Jelstrup has 26 years of experience with the hotel group and a strong professional background, with particular expertise in conferences, operations and restaurants.
“Comwell Kolding has a strong position within meetings, conferences and guest experiences. I very much look forward to putting my experience to use and continuing the positive development together with the team in Kolding,” says Frederik Jelstrup.
Search begins for new hotel director in Horsens
Comwell’s executive management is delighted that two such experienced leaders are continuing their journey within the hotel group, helping to ensure continued progress and continuity across the hotels.
At the same time, the management changes mean that Comwell is now beginning the search for a new hotel director for Comwell Bygholm Park in Horsens.
