A successful dinner is an important part of any wedding celebration. That is why our kitchen creates the menu based on your wishes, the ingredients of the season, and the experience you want to give your guests. Our wedding packages serve as inspiration, but we naturally tailor the menu, beverages, and style of service so that it makes sense for you as a bridal couple.
At Comwell Roskilde, we work with seasonal ingredients and hold the Danish Organic Cuisine Label in bronze, which means that 30–60% of our food and beverage purchases are organic. For us, responsibility is a natural part of everyday life, and our passionate chefs create delicious food where flavour, variety, and satisfaction go hand in hand.

Here, the atmosphere is allowed to take centre stage, while your happy guests can enjoy the day with the fjord and the green surroundings close by.
Our skilled event coordinator has extensive experience with weddings and is also trained as a jewellery designer with experience in creating wedding rings. This offers a very special kind of guidance when planning the day – from the ceremony and table setting to flowers, music, DJ, SelfieCam, and other details that make the celebration feel personal.
We believe the setting is best experienced with your own eyes. That is why we are always happy to invite you for a viewing, where you can feel the closeness to the fjord, explore the hotel’s many possibilities, and get a sense of how the day can unfold with us.
Whether you are planning a grand celebration with many guests or a smaller wedding with your closest family and friends, we offer a range of venues that can be tailored exactly to your wishes. At the hotel, we have four relevant wedding venues that provide the perfect setting for both weddings and other celebrations.
For more intimate weddings with typically 30–50 guests, we recommend a smaller venue of around 80 m² with an upper section of approximately 40 m², where the acoustics create a calm and intimate atmosphere. Here, speeches, laughter, and music can be experienced up close, while candlelight and views of Roskilde Fjord contribute to a warm ambience.
If the bridal couple are planning a larger wedding, we have three venues of around 300 m², which can be arranged to accommodate up to 180 guests. Whatever the size, we help create a setting that feels truly special, where the dinner, celebration, and dancing all have the best possible conditions.
Once the date is in place, the planning truly begins. We recommend that you contact us at least 4–6 months before the wedding, so there is plenty of time to create the day you dream of. You will be assigned a dedicated event coordinator who will guide you throughout the entire process and help with everything from the first ideas to the final details.
We invite you for a viewing, where you can experience the hotel’s many possibilities and talk through your wishes for the day. Later, we meet again for a planning meeting, where you will, among other things, meet the head chef, taste the house wines, and go through the menu, table setting, schedule, accommodation, allergies, and all the practical details.
One particularly special aspect of Comwell Roskilde is that our event coordinator is also a trained jewellery designer who has designed many wedding rings. This adds an extra dimension to the planning process and gives you a sparring partner who understands the many choices that come with a wedding.
Transport logistics are also an important part of the planning. The hotel is only around a 30-minute drive from Copenhagen, and with free parking, it is easy for guests arriving by car. If some guests are travelling by train, Roskilde Station is approximately 3 km from the hotel, and there are both bus and taxi connections for the final part of the journey. We are happy to help plan the flow of the day so that arrival, ceremony, reception, and celebration all come together naturally.
Once the dinner has been enjoyed, the last speech has been given, and the dance floor is full, your big day does not have to end. At Comwell Roskilde, your private function room is available until 3:00 am, and if you would like to continue into the late hours, the celebration can move on to the hotel’s cosy Slyngelstue, where billiards, table football, and a jukebox create a relaxed atmosphere.
With the option of staying overnight at the hotel, both you and your guests can enjoy the celebration without having to think about getting home. The next morning, you can gather again over the hotel’s generous breakfast buffet, share memories from the night before, and round off your wedding weekend at a peaceful pace.
If you dream of saying yes to each other with nature and the shimmering water close by, we offer several wonderful settings for your ceremony. You can hire our incredibly atmospheric tea pavilion, hold a romantic ceremony in one of the hotel’s cosy atrium courtyards, or move the ceremony out onto the large terrace and lawn, which give you and your guests the most beautiful views over the fjord and the green hills.
When you plan your big day with us, you gain a truly unique sparring partner in our skilled event coordinator, who follows you all the way from the very first ideas 4–6 months before the celebration until the final detail is in place. The coordinator is also a trained jewellery designer with extensive experience in creating wedding rings, which brings a very special sense of detail, design, and visual expression when you are putting together everything from table settings and flowers to music and a SelfieCam.
We have flexible reception rooms for both intimate celebrations and larger weddings, with four function rooms for weddings, all filled with natural daylight. For smaller weddings of 30–50 guests, we recommend a wonderfully cosy and intimate room of 80 m² with fantastic acoustics, while for the larger celebrations we have three rooms of 300 m² each, where we can create a beautiful setting with candlelight and views over Roskilde Fjord for up to 180 guests at round tables.
Our complete and luxurious wedding package costs DKK 1,919 per person and is filled with indulgence, treating your guests to chilled bubbles, homemade savoury snacks, and an elegant four-course gourmet menu, with the main course served twice. Afterwards, we serve coffee with cognac, liqueur, and homemade petit fours before opening a large open bar and a dedicated cocktail bar, where professional cocktail waiters shake seven different cocktails for four hours, before the night is rounded off with delicious charcuterie and organic cheeses.
Once the last speech has been given and the bridal waltz is over, you have access to your main function room right up until 3:00 am, which gives you plenty of time for dancing. If your guests still have lots of energy and the celebration absolutely must not end, you can easily move the party on to the hotel’s informal and cosy Slyngelstue, where you can enjoy billiards and table football or put your favourite songs on the jukebox.
Yes, we have 159 lovely rooms, so your guests can simply take the lift straight to bed and stay overnight from DKK 900 for a double room including our generous breakfast buffet. If you would like to put the perfect finishing touch on your wedding weekend, you can hire your very own private breakfast room for DKK 5,000 plus DKK 99 per person, where you can enjoy breakfast together in peace, open gifts, and laugh over the best stories of the night before heading home as newlyweds.
Holding a wedding is a major decision – financially as well. That is why you can familiarise yourselves with our terms from the outset, so you know the framework for payment, cancellation, and any changes to the number of guests.
At the time of booking, a deposit of DKK 3,000 is charged. This will be deducted from the final invoice, but it is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
75% of the confirmed event amount must be paid no later than 1 month before the wedding.
Cancellation of or changes to the event must always be made in writing.
Cancellation up to 3 months before the event date can be made free of charge. However, the deposit will not be refunded.
If cancelled 3–2 months before the event date, 50% of the confirmed amount will be charged.
If cancelled 2–1 months before the event date, 75% of the confirmed amount will be charged.
If cancelled less than 1 month before the event date, 100% of the confirmed amount will be charged.
The final number of guests and rooms must be provided no later than 1 month before the event. A reduction of up to 5% of the confirmed number of guests can be made free of charge up to 48 hours before the event.
Children between 2 and 12 years of age receive a 50% discount on the celebration package once the minimum number of adults has been met.
The discount does not apply to public holiday surcharges or other add-ons.
Young people between 13 and 17 who do not drink alcohol receive a discount of DKK 200 on the large celebration package, the Deluxe package, and the wedding package.
