Focus on strategic direction

Comwell Hotels has decided not to renew the current operating agreement for Comwell Klarskovgaard, which expires on 31 December 2026.

The agreement will continue as planned until its expiry, and Comwell Hotels will fulfil its obligations under the existing agreement until it comes to an end.

Comwell Hotels has been part of Klarskovgaard for many years and looks back on a long and positive partnership.

The hotel has provided the setting for countless stays, meetings and celebrations. Its unique location close to nature and the waterfront has made Comwell Klarskovgaard a distinctive and much-appreciated destination for many.

In connection with the expiry of the contract, Comwell Hotels has assessed that Comwell Klarskovgaard no longer aligns with the direction the group has set towards 2030. Comwell Hotels has therefore decided not to renew the agreement, allowing a new operator to help shape the hotel’s future identity and profile after 2026.

“Comwell Hotels has a clear and ambitious strategy towards 2030, with a focus on developing and expanding our hotel portfolio in a well-defined direction. Comwell Klarskovgaard has been a special place for us for many years, and we are proud of the experiences we have created for guests and customers together with our employees. Our decision not to renew the agreement is about making room for a new operator following the rebuilding after the fire in December last year, while at the same time maintaining our focus on our long-term strategic direction,” says Peter Schelde, CEO of Comwell Hotels.
