Confirmation in Jutland

If you are planning a confirmation in Jutland, you can choose from seven different Comwell venues – from Aalborg and Rebild Bakker in the north to Aarhus, Horsens, Kolding and Vejle Fjord further south.

The venues differ in terms of setting, size, price and what is included in their confirmation and celebration packages. You can choose between modern city hotels, historic buildings, raw industrial settings and hotels surrounded by parkland, forest and fjord.

Here, you can compare the options and find the setting that best suits the confirmand, your number of guests and the type of confirmation or non-confirmation celebration you would like to hold.

The seven Comwell hotels in Jutland offer very different settings. You can choose a centrally located city hotel in Aalborg or Aarhus, celebrate in one of Aarhus’ major cultural landmarks at Comwell Centralværkstedet, gather the family at the historic Comwell Bygholm Park, or move the celebration closer to nature at Comwell Rebild Bakker and Comwell Kellers Park by Vejle Fjord.

It is therefore worth considering the kind of experience you want around the celebration itself. Should guests be able to arrive easily by train and continue the day in the city? Would you like parkland, forest or fjord just outside the door? Or are the character of the venue and the ability to accommodate a larger party more important? The differences between the venues mean that your choice can be guided by both the confirmand’s wishes and the type of day you would like to create.

Starting prices at the seven venues cover different types of packages. When comparing the options, it is therefore important to look at the number of guests, the duration of the celebration and what is included.

At Comwell Bygholm Park, a three-course celebration menu starts from DKK 475 per person for 10–20 guests, with drinks charged according to consumption. For larger parties, there is also a six-hour package at DKK 948 per person, including a welcome drink, a three-course menu, drinks during dinner and coffee/tea. The package is available for a minimum of 20 guests and cannot be extended.

At Comwell Rebild Bakker, a five-hour package costs DKK 595 per person and includes a welcome drink, a two-course menu, as well as cake from the pastry chef and coffee/tea. The minimum is 20 guests. Drinks are charged according to consumption, or beer, soft drinks and Comwell wines can be added for five hours at DKK 250 per person. For events starting after 2.00 pm, an additional DKK 100 per person applies. The total price therefore also depends on drinks and the start time.

Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg’s lunch celebration package costs DKK 795 per person for five hours and includes a welcome drink, a three-course seasonal menu, a wine menu, unlimited beer and water, as well as coffee/tea. The minimum is 20 guests, and the celebration must begin no later than 1.00 pm. An additional fee applies if you choose a function room on the 15th floor.

The confirmation package at Comwell Aarhus costs DKK 895 per person for six hours, based on a minimum of 20 adults. Comwell Kolding’s 2026 confirmation package costs DKK 898 per person and includes a menu and unlimited drinks for up to seven hours. As the prices are almost identical, it is worth comparing both the duration and exactly which drinks are included in each package.

At Comwell Centralværkstedet, a six-hour confirmation celebration costs DKK 1,145 per person and includes welcome sparkling wine, snacks, a three-course menu, house wines, beer and water, as well as coffee/tea and something sweet. Room hire is included. Comwell Kellers Park’s celebration package costs DKK 1,495 per person and covers eight hours, including a three-course menu, drinks and a late-night meal. The longer package may be relevant if you would like to continue the celebration into the evening.

Compare quotes based on the same number of guests and your preferred celebration length. This makes it easier to assess which package best suits your plans and which additional options you may need.

If your guests are travelling from different parts of Jutland, transport may be an important factor when choosing a venue.

Comwell Aarhus and Comwell Centralværkstedet are among the options closest to a railway station, with Aarhus Central Station just a few minutes’ walk away. The same applies to Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, which is close to Aalborg Central Station.

Comwell Bygholm Park is around a ten-minute walk from Horsens Station through the park, while Comwell Kolding is approximately a 10–15-minute walk from Kolding Station. Both hotels offer free parking.

At Comwell Rebild Bakker, parking is free and there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel. Skørping Station is approximately three kilometres away. Comwell Kellers Park also offers free parking, while the nearest railway station is Brejning Station, approximately 2.5 kilometres from the hotel.

Parking is subject to a charge at Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg and Comwell Aarhus, while guests at Comwell Centralværkstedet can, among other options, use the car park at Bruuns Galleri.

Menuerne er ikke bygget ens op på de syv steder. Hos Comwell Aarhus og Comwell Kellers Park kan I vælge mellem 3-retters menu og buffet. På Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, Comwell Rebild Bakker og Comwell Bygholm Park kombineres tallerkenservering med hovedretsbuffet.

Serveringsformen er derfor værd at tage med i valget. En serveret menu samler selskabet omkring bordene, mens en buffet giver mere bevægelse og mulighed for at vælge mellem flere elementer.

Også retterne varierer. På Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg spænder valgmulighederne eksempelvis fra vol-au-vent til makirulle og thai-inspireret karry, mens Comwell Rebild Bakker tilbyder både klassiske tarteletter, ceviche og bresaola blandt forretterne. På Comwell Bygholm Park finder I blandt andet hjemmerøget dansk laks og kylling fra Rokkedahl med peanut-satay.

What the hotels have in common is Comwell’s food concept, where taste and seasonal ingredients are the starting point, and local ingredients are used whenever possible. All Comwell hotels hold the Bronze Organic Cuisine Label. This means that 30–60% of food and beverage purchases are organic. The percentage applies to purchasing overall, not to the individual celebration menu. Speak to the hotel about the confirmand’s preferences, children’s menus and dietary requirements when choosing the dishes.

When planning a confirmation, it is helpful to know which terms apply if your plans or guest numbers change along the way. We therefore recommend reading the general cancellation terms well in advance, so you have a clear overview from the outset.
