How we percieve good food and gastronomic experiences
During our weekend stays, you can enjoy your meals in the hotel's cozy restaurants. The restaurants serve creative dishes made from the best seasonal ingredients, carefully selected to ensure balance, depth, and finesse.
At all hotels, we also offer a daily breakfast buffet with local ingredients and homemade favorites. Here you can enjoy organic eggs, cheese, and bread. Fresh fruit in season. Homemade jam, smoothies or morning shots and other specialties from the local area.
At Comwell, we work purposefully with responsibility. We choose high-quality local ingredients, make use of the many opportunities offered by the season and reduce food waste. Our partnerships are an important part of this effort. In collaboration with local and small producers, we develop new products with excellent taste. And when we work with our suppliers to improve quality and choose documented, responsible solutions, we can create dining experiences that taste good and reduce our footprint.
Should we eat at the hotel during our weekend stay?
No, of course you don't “have” to. It depends, of course, on what type of weekend stay you want. Obviously, the more remote the hotel is, the more sense it makes to buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel.
If you don't live far from Copenhagen, we highly recommend exploring the restaurants in the city. There are, of course, many restaurants, cozy inns, and cafés to choose from here.
Copenhagen is now a gastronomic capital, which tourists visit with great enthusiasm to sample Nordic cuisine – fortunately, the metro is 150 meters from the hotel, so you can easily and quickly get to and from your restaurant visits in Copenhagen.

At Comwell Holte, you will find the hilly trails of Rude Forest nearby – ideal for hiking, running, or cycling in peaceful surroundings.
In North Zealand, Comwell Borupgaard is surrounded by both forest and coast, where walks in nature can be combined with relaxation in the hotel's spa. In Roskilde, you will be staying close to the fjord, where you can start the day with fresh air by the water and end it with delicious culinary experiences at the hotel. Zealand's historic towns and nature experiences

Comwell Borupgaard is an obvious base for experiencing Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, where Shakespeare's Hamlet still lives on within the old walls. A trip to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is also an option if you want a weekend of art and inspiration. After a day filled with cultural experiences, you can always return to the hotel, where relaxing spa facilities await.
Comwell Copenhagen Portside is located close to Copenhagen's biggest attractions. Explore Tivoli Gardens, Nyhavn, and the many art museums before returning to the hotel and collapsing into one of our comfortable rooms. The metro is only 150 meters from the hotel, so you can get around the city quickly and easily.
The next morning, start your day with our inviting breakfast buffet, where our large selection of breakfast favorites provides the perfect start to another eventful day in Copenhagen.
If you visit our cozy hotel during the summer months, you can take a dip in the sea or enjoy the view of the Øresund at Vedbæk beach and marina. It is also possible to swim at Frederiksdal Fribad, which is only about 7 km from the hotel. If you want to cool off in other ways, we recommend visiting Holte Harbor on Vejlesø, which has the coziest ice cream stands.
If you enjoy golf, we highly recommend Søllerød Golf Club, located a few minutes' drive from the hotel in the middle of Søllerød Nature Park. As the hotel is located in the middle of the forest, it is a good idea to bring good footwear and enjoy the lovely trails in Rude Forest. It is also possible to use the mountain bike trails in the forest if you are looking for a little more speed.
Nature and experiences await right outside the door at Comwell Klarskovgaard. The hotel is located close to Korsør and a secluded beach, which we highly recommend visiting on a hot summer's day.
The area is ideal for picnics in the forest or along the coast, and you can cycle all the way to the Great Belt Bridge if you love getting around by bike. If you play golf, Korsør Golf Club is just 15 minutes away and offers one of Zealand's most beautiful courses.
Comwell Køge Strand is perfectly located if you want to combine relaxation with a trip through Køge's historic town center. Køge Torv must be one of Denmark's coziest and most popular squares, and as you stroll through the cobbled square and small, charming shopping streets, you will encounter old, charming houses and a sea of small, cozy specialty shops.
Just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, you will find a beautiful, wide sandy beach, which we highly recommend visiting in the summer. Take a refreshing summer dip or enjoy the view, the scent of summer and the sea, and feel the sand between your toes. At Køge Marina (yacht harbor), 3 km from the hotel, you will find the beautiful harbor bath, where you can also enjoy life by the water.
Enjoy a refreshing dip or a walk in the pleasant Vigen beach park with its beautiful view of the fjord, where Viking ships and the dining ship Sagafjord sail side by side with beautiful yachts. At Vigen Strandpark, you can also rent a kayak from Outdoor Adventures, who are ready with great tips on where to go sailing.
In Roskilde, you can take advantage of the fact that the city is one of Denmark's largest historical cities, which was also Denmark's capital in the past. Visit Roskilde Cathedral, which has over 1,000 years of history and 40 royal burials on its resume. The Viking Museum is also worth a visit, where you can see five original Viking discs from the Skuldelev find – a brilliant place to visit with children. End the day with a historical city walk in Roskilde, where you can settle down in one of the city's many restaurants through the medieval streets.
